What a great house, and rarely do the pictures match the property, but this time it was true. Access to the house and area was simple and very clean. Our property manager was always available and prompt to address our requests, which were just convenience requests. Would definitely use Salt Water Vacations next time we visit.

Salt Water Retreat

The saltwater retreat house was absolutely amazing! It was everything and more that my family could have hoped for! The private pool was everybody’s favorite part! The house was very clean and stylish! Two kitchens, and two sets of washer and dryers was clutch! We had 9 people with us and this house was ideal for that many people. It is literally a five minute walk to the beach! It is also located in a gated community, so that was also a cool aspect! We would love to stay again!

Loved everything about our stay. This house is a wonderful place to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The only thing I caution anyone about is this house is on two levels with stairs that are hard to avoid, as the kitchen is on the second floor. The beach is just a 5 minute walk. Lovely neighborhood very close to everything Destin has to offer.

Lovely Luxury Home with All the Amenities

When you come to Destin, FL, you want a nice place to stay in and the company that rents it to be professional. Look no further. First the Home. Everything you could ever want in a luxury home by the beach. Two kitchens, Four bedrooms, new TV's, Sofa Sleepers, Pool, Hot tub (heating extra but worth it) and new gas BBQ. Everything is first quality, and it shows.
The rental company is also top notch. We had a small issue with a pipe under the sink in the downstairs kitchen. I called and it was fixed in less than 30 minutes. Did I say it was a Saturday. WOW. This people have their act together.
I highly recommend and will be renting again.

This home was PERFECT in EVERY way. We were here for a girls trip and we were blown away from the moment we walked in. The home is spacious, clean, and the pool is IMMACULATE! Some of the previous reviews said that the pool house had bugs/spider webs but we did not have that same experience. Seems like they fixed that issue. (If it ever even was an issue.) I was really impressed at the fact that they had someone even come and clean the pool while we were there. Not a lot of owners do that. (At least at the other VRBO homes I have visited.) The neighborhood was really nice and we were so close to the beach. Also, a plus that it was a gated commununity. I truly have nothing negative to say about this home. I'm already planning on coming back with my family next year so we can enjoy it as well! Look no further.

Sea Salt Retreat is as Advertised and Much Much More!

Where do I begin with as this was our most memorable vacation we’ve had (my whole family agrees to this statement), this is our 3rd vacation down in the Florida Panhandle and we were in Seaside and Santa Rosa Beach before Destin. Don’t get me wrong, we were in the downtown areas of those places, but it was hard getting around when busy or reserving a table to eat. So we decided to try Destin proper, were we blown away by the amenities and this place (Sea Salt Retreat). Let me begin: *Sea Salt Retreat is a top notch property. You have a pool, can house 8+ people (two families comfortably, with 3 if you want the pull out couches) and remodeled kitchen, living areas, family room, brand new stone bathrooms, and impeccable 2nd floor deck Overlooking the street. Access to the Beach Club in the Gated Community. On top of that, you have 2 kitchens that were top caliber and two sets of brand new washer/dryers per floor. No need to pack a ton of clothes! *When we were leaving, the owner was installing a fire pit and and outdoor grill (wish we were there to enjoy). If that was our wish was that we didn’t have a chance to see the grill/fire pit in action. *Sea Salt is in a gated community (with access to the Private Pool) and steps away from the main beach. Plus you got a good seafood restaurant (Crab Trap) within blocks of the house. *Did I already mention the pool - heated pool with sundeck and hot tub. We enjoyed that pool every day we were there. Even on an extremely windy day at the beach, we packed up from the beach (got cold) and then spent the rest of the day at the heated pool. I counted 3-5 hours in our 5 full days there we were in that pool and can say we were ‘away from everybody else’ without having to share a pool beyond our 2 families. That was worth the $$ rental of this location. Candidly, didn’t even go to the Private Beach Club (you can do everything else here’ at the house, except for weight room). *You’re within ‘minutes’ of Emerald Coast Parkway and can go to Publix, WalMart, etc. with hundreds of restaurants within 10 miles of everything else (T-shirt shops, gift shops, etc) and the main Highway 293 is within minutes of this location. Couldn’t ask for a better spot centrally located. If I had to complain (gosh, hate to even have that in this review if at all), you are not near a town center like we were in Seaside/Santa Rosa Beach. So you have to drive to 99% of all locations (except for Crab Trap/Beach), but it was never that busy to jump on the road. I was happy to have Emerald Coast Highway as I had a screw in the tire of our rental and Express Oil Change was 1 mile from this location. So didn’t have to worry about our 900 mile drive home. Couldn’t ask for anything more than that. Highly recommend this property.

This has been the best place we have stayed for vacation ever! What can beat having your own private pool and hot tub in your backyard? Great place for families. Spacious and wonderfully decorated. We cooked our meals in their fabulous kitchen so didn’t spend much eating out. Can’t wait to go back sometime in the future!
