My family and I recently enjoyed staying at this well-appointed Destin beach house, and it was nothing short of a dream come true! From the moment we arrived until the day we departed, we were immersed in a lovely coastal experience that left us with cherished memories. Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, this beach house offers the perfect blend of serenity and convenience. Just a short walk from the private beach access, we had the freedom to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise views each morning. The location also provided easy access to all the local attractions and restaurants like the Crab Trap and Pompano Joe's, making it a great hub for our family adventures. The beach house itself was a haven of comfort and style. Impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, it felt like a home away from home. The multi-generational aspect was a key selling point for us, as there was plenty of room for everyone, from the youngest to the oldest members of our family. The bedrooms were cozy, and the living spaces were spacious, ensuring everyone had a great time. The private pool and the well-maintained golf cart were definite highlights of our stay. We spent hours splashing in the pool, cruising around the neighborhood, or heading to dinner in the golf cart, exploring the area's beauty at our own pace. The 2-story back decks were a tranquil retreat, offering a perfect spot for our family after a day in the sun. One thing we greatly appreciated was the ample parking space. With several family members traveling separately, we never had to worry about finding a spot for our vehicles. This convenience made the logistics of our trip a breeze. Despite its proximity to the beach and local attractions, the cul-de-sac location ensured a serene and peaceful atmosphere. Whether lounging by the pool or enjoying a family meal, we were never disturbed by noise or crowds. It truly felt like our own private oasis. We are already counting down the days until we can return to this coastal paradise, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking an amazing Destin beach experience.

We will absolutely return to the Kokomo Retreat house. Getting to and from the beach was made very easy thanks to the private golf cart, and the house was clean and comfy to stay in! Perfect for 3 small families with 5 young children (all under the age of 9).

Magical Beach Weekend

This place was not only beautiful but the service was top notch. We had an unforgettable long weekend here. Stephanie, our reservation coordinator was in contact with us by 7 am with all the details for accessing and utilizing the condo making our late night arrival seamless. The condo was spotless and the sunrise views from the master bedroom are truly spectacular. We had a STREET LEGAL golf cart that seats six. It made traveling to and from our complimentary beach service chairs in front of the crab trap a breeze and was a HUGE hit with our child that’s less than thrilled about walks. The pool was excellent too lounge at in the afternoons and the maintenance team blew the pool deck and golf cart off everyday we were there. We were a band of three but you could have easily slept two families here. We will absolutely be rebooking, magic beach trip made easy!

Convenient and quiet

I spent two months at Kokomo Retreat. I've been spending the winters and renting in Destin for years and this was one of the best places I've ever stayed. The house was in great shape and the location was right in the middle of where everything is yet it was one of the quietest places I've ever stayed. It was at the end of a dead end street with a lake in the back so the setting was fantastic and it's just barely a block from the beach. Also, Saltwater Vacations was great to work with. They were very accessible and attentive and I'd highly recommend renting through them to anybody.

Great stay at a great location. Right next to the beach with an easy walk. Also, right next to the crab shack at the beach with easy beach access or golf-cart parking (we drove the cart to park at the crab shack beach entrance every day, added bonus of having a bar on the beach). Would recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the location was fantastic! It easily accommodated our group of 10 with 5 kids and 5 adults. The golf cart and private pool were amazing bonuses we enjoyed every day!
