Lunch with a Rooftop View at Pescado in Rosemary Beach
With an array of rooftop bars popping up on 30A, it seemed like the thing to do on a fall weather Friday. I had a couple of friends visiting from Atlanta so of course I wanted to show off one of my favorite 30A beach towns, Rosemary Beach. We chose to dine rooftop at Pescado Seafood Grill and we were not disappointed.
After strolling through the quaint town of Rosemary Beach we made our way to Pescado. There’s a very colorful garden area at the front of the restaurant with an elevator that escorted us to the second floor. We are warmly greeted by a hostess who walks us through a small indoor seating area with several tables till we get to an impressive rooftop bar with impeccable views.
The bar is well designed with seating to include inside the restaurant and outside so all can take advantage of the beautiful views. The bartenders are set up in the middle and are very attentive to all sections of the bar. We sat at the bar in the outside area which had plenty of room for the four of us and was very comfortable. Our bartender and waitress were very friendly and took great care of us.
The Menu:
The drink menu offered a handful of fun cocktails. Among our party several Provencal 75s were ordered. Prairie Gin, Lavender, Rosemary, Lemon, and Cava were the ingredients making it a herbaceous twist on a French 75. They also had an extensive wine list as well as brews from my favorite local brewery, Destin Brewery. After, finishing my cocktail I enjoyed lunch with an East Pass IPA!
The lunch menu was not overwhelming but had a good variety of dishes that would please any palate. The Chef’s special ceviche was the perfect start to lunch. Several delicious salads were ordered, including the house made Burrata which was perfectly creamy served with crisp fresh tomatoes and arugula. However, the lobster roll stole the show with a nod to the true New England style with a split top butter roll filled with rich chunks of lobster!
We enjoyed our lunch immensely while taking in the amazing views. The adorable scenic rooftops and balconies of Rosemary Beach cottages as well as a clear view of the Gulf of Mexico could be seen from all angles. I highly recommend lunch at Pescado and I’m definitely making plans to experience dinner there soon!
