Bric a' Brac

The Petit family brings big flavor to Destin with the opening of their latest restaurant. Bric a’ Brac is a family style restaurant, bar, and night club all in one. The owners are from the family Petit, a household name with restaurants in this area! Finally we don’t have to make the trip out to Santa Rosa or Grayton Beach (Red Bar and Louis Louis)! The Petit experience is now in the heart of Destin. 

I had déjà vu’ the moment I walked in! The fun eclectic décor, live band playing with couches surrounding the stage, and chalk boards displaying the menu took me back to the days of Café 331. Could the place I had mourned over years ago really be alive and well, living in the old Zanzabar building?

We took our seat at a big round table right next to the bar and band. The waitress came around announcing intriguing drink specials and brought out big pours. The chalk boards were placed by the table with a limited number of items to order in keeps with the Petit family restaurant tradition. Also holding true was the large portions and delicious taste of the meal.  

After our meal we headed up stairs to join the party. The second floor features a late night dance club with multiple DJ’s scheduled throughout the week covering a different genre each night. It was Friday night, Latin Night, so a little Salsa and Merengue was in the mix! This brought me back to the days of Cafe 331's downstairs night club. I can't shut the place down like I use to but I sure did try!

Bric a' Brac has it all. Delicious food, generous drinks, and music all around! The Petit brothers run their restaurant by the motto ‘Come as you are, stay as long as you can, we’re all family here’. With that being said, welcome to the new dive in Destin!
