What’s New in Destin
We love seeing all the new stores and restaurants opening around town and it looks like Destin just keeps getting better. Whole Foods opened last month in the Destin Commons with lines around the building and has seemed to stay incredibly busy ever since. With an organic salad bar, cafe, bakery, pizza station, extensive wine and beer selection, as well as choice organic fruits, vegetables and much more, it’s no wonder people are loving it!
Anthropologie opened in Grand Boulevard last month, much to the delight of women all along the Emerald Coast. The popular store curates chic home decor, women’s fashion, books, and gifts. The new store boasts over 9,000 square feet in the new Center building across from the Boulevard 10 Cinema. The store joins retailers Lilly Pulitzer (the first to open in Northwest Florida) and Vineyard Vines in the new shopping center. More openings are in store for Grand Boulevard in 2017 as well.
The old Chili’s restaurant has sat vacant for some time now in Crystal Beach Plaza but will soon be occupied once again. Graffiti and the Funky Blues Shack will be moving later this year into the building. The Baytowne location will be closed and the new location will feature lunch, dinner, and a late night atmosphere.
Destin has come a long way in recent years and truly offers something for everyone. Besides prime shopping, dining, and activities, we have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Destin vacation rentals are available for luxury accommodations with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico.
