Super Bowl Weekend in Destin
The big weekend is here! After months of barbecues, beer, nachos, and football parties, Super Bowl weekend is finally among us. Rams vs. Patriots will be the big game this Sunday with people tuning in from all over to see who will win. Even if your favorite team won’t be playing, it’s likely you’ll still be watching. Here are some of our favorite places in Destin, Florida to watch football as well as some suggestions if you aren’t going to be tuning in.
O’Quigley’s Seafood Steamer is located across from Destin Commons and is a great place to watch the game while enjoying delicious food. They offer a wide selection of local and imported beers and a menu with everything from blackened grouper and oysters to wings and ribeye steaks. You’ll get nice view wherever you sit with TV’s all over the restaurant and a party room in the back.
If you want a more low-key experience with just a few friends, Buffalo Jack’s has booths along the wall and a personal TV at each table. They have amazing wings with tons of sauces, pizza, beer and wine, and po boys. Island Wing Company has a large selection of wings, flatbreads, burgers, and tacos. The Destin location will feature drink specials all day including bottomless Bloody Marys and Mimosas.
Landsharks Pizza Company is a cozy pizzeria that also offers subs, burgers, and wings. They have a full bar and TVs around the restaurant. You can also grab food to go if you want to throw your own party at your Destin condo. Call ahead to any of these locals’ favorite spots and bring pizza and wings back to your friends and family.
If you won’t be watching the Super Bowl, you can probably enjoy the Destin Commons or Silver Sands Outlet Mall all to yourself. Take advantage of the big day by shopping the afternoon away without the crowds. It will be a warm weekend so you can head to the beach and soak up some sun while playing in the sand.
Whether your team wins or loses, it’s never a bad day on the Emerald Coast! Get outside and enjoy the sunny Florida weather. Breathe in the salty air. There’s always next football season!
