Our Favorite Mexican Restaurants Along the Emerald Coast
There’s nothing better than coming off the beach to a cold margarita. Something about the salt water and playing all day in the sun that makes you crave that salted rim frozen goodness as well as all you can eat chips & salsa. With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, here are a few of our favorite Mexican restaurants along the Emerald Coast of Florida!
La Cocina offers Latin inspired cuisine with a coastal
twist. Nestled between Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach, when visiting the beaches of 30A, this is a Mexican restaurant favorite. I suggest ordering the salsa flight. That’s right, why settle for one type of salsa when you can taste charred tomato salsa, charred tomatillo salsa and pineapple habanero. Order the Caliente Margarita and really spice things up!
Head west on 98 to Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach and you’ll find Cantina Laredo. They have delicious top shelf margaritas and the best bartenders in the area. I suggest ordering the guacamole, which they make and customize at your table, as well as the Carne Asada.
Destin Commons is home to El Jalisco. Famous for its fajitas, you don’t just have the choice of chicken or steak. You’re offered Mexican chorizo, carnitas, shrimp, crab meat and fish over a bed of sizzling veggies. You can also create your own delicious combo perfectly paired with a cold margarita. When visiting the beautiful beaches of Destin, Florida, Destin Commons
is a great place to shop and enjoy one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants
along the Emerald Coast.
When staying near the Destin harbor, there’s a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant that all the locals love! Burrito Del Sol is simple, authentic and delicious, serving Baja-Style Mexican food. Slow roasted chicken and blackened shrimp tacos are some of the best I’ve had. They have craft beer on tap and specials throughout the week. This family owned and operated Mexican Restaurant is a must when visiting the Destin Harbor.
In the quaint little beach town of Perdido Key we find Pedro’s Taco & Tequila Bar. First and foremost, the service is spectacular. The fresh guacamole is delicious! They serve huge Margaritas with fun flavors including guava and mango. With live music on Cinco de Mayo, it’s a great spot to celebrate the day!
Mexican food and margaritas are a perfect way to end a full
day at the beach. The sun and saltwater create a craving for chips and salsa.
Enjoy our favorite Mexican Restaurants and happy Cinco de Mayo from the Emerald Coast of Florida!
