Mardi Gras in Destin

You don’t have to be in New Orleans to enjoy Mardi Gras fun. Select locations around Destin, Florida will be celebrating the colorful event with a variety of activities for the whole family.  

Beginning on Friday, February 5th, festivities will kick off at the Destin Harbor with a pub crawl along the Boardwalk. Over at the Destin Commons, a parade will take over the shopping center complete with floats, beads, and more. The New Orleans Ramblers will be performing live and activities for the whole family will be available.  On Saturday, HarborWalk Village will host the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Parade. More floats, costumes, live entertainment and even street performers will roll along the Harbor.

Sunday will be the big Mardi Gras Dog Parade in Sandestin. This is the 13th year for the event and each parade attracts a crowd of furry friends in costumes and decorated rides. The parade begins at 2pm and is a free event open to the public. Destin vacation rentals are available in the vicinity for overnight accommodations.
