Live Music on the Emerald Coast
First Note Music Hall opened two years ago in Blue Mountain Beach. Owner Tommy Jackson wanted to bring a distinctive live music experience to the area that was previous lacking. The Music Hall closed after a short run but Jackson has joined up with Seascape Resort and Vue on 30A to revive the First Note experience. There is now live entertainment every Friday and Saturday at Seascape. Vue on 30A will host live performances each Sunday in Santa Rosa Beach. As with the previous First Note appearances, guests will include up and coming artists and songwriters of a variety of genres. May 23rd and 24th at Seascape Resort, the featured artists for the holiday weekend will be Kaci Bolls, Britton Cameron, Benjy Davis, and Paul McDonald. Doors open at 6pm and show starts at 7pm. Tickets for shows will be available at the venues as well as online.
Gregg Allman will be performing live in concert at Gulf Place on 30A May 28th. Gulf Place will donate a portion of the concert’s proceeds to the Special Operation Warrior Foundation in honor of Memorial Day. Owner of Gulf Place, John Gaston says they will offer special rates for active and retired military as well to honor those who serve for the country. This is the first time visiting South Walton for Allman despite a lifetime of touring. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has been hailed as one of the “100 Greatest Singers of All Time” by Rolling Stone magazine.
