Labor Day Weekend Along the Emerald Coast
Labor Day Weekend is recognized as the last chance for a summer hoorah! I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this favorite season then on the beautiful white sand beaches of the Emerald Coast. Along with some much-needed beach time, here are a few of our favorite Labor Day Weekend events you might want to check out.
On the beautiful beaches of South Walton, Sinfonia Goes Pops at Alys Beach. Enjoy the orchestral sounds of Sinfonia Gulf Coast under the palm trees in the Alys Beach Amphitheater. Bring blankets, low back chairs and your favorite bottle of wine. Enjoy this free outdoor concert on Sunday, September 2nd from 7:30-10:00pm along with an explosive firework show over the Gulf of Mexico.
In Miramar Beach, The Village of Baytowne Wharf celebrates the end of summer with a 3-day Art Walk. Beginning Friday, August 31st through Sunday, September 2nd, from 5:00-10:00pm the Village streets will be bursting with talent from a variety of local and regional artists. Live music will be on the events stage every night!
If your beach destination is Destin, Florida you can celebrate the end of summer at the harbor. Destin Harbor says farewell to summer 2018 with a weekend of family activities, free concerts and fireworks over the harbor. Live music from Paris Avenue on Saturday, September 1st at 7:30pm. Georgia Clay Band will take the stage on Sunday, September 2nd at 6:15pm. Fireworks will light up the Destin, Florida sky at 9:00pm on Sunday followed by a fire spinning performance by Just Add Fire on the main stage.
If you’re visiting the quaint, low-key beaches of Perdido Key then say farewell to summer at the 3rd Annual Gulf Coast Summer Fest Jazz Edition. Enjoy big name performances from Boney James, Oli Silk, Paul Jackson, Jr. and Everett Harp to name a few. The event takes place at the Pensacola Community Maritime Park on Saturday, September 1st at 2:30pm. This musical experience on the water is a great way to celebrate summer!
