Italian Done Cozy by the Harbor

La Famiglia is great, great, great for three reasons. One -- it’s authentic. The menu opens with a warm welcome from the Rella family in almost perfect English and it’s as adorable as the décor. The family is totally Italian and so is the food. I love how the whole family works together to make the restaurant work.

Two - they have the best Pizza. I order my own pizza: la rustica, a white chicken pizza, and I eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and refuse to share. Three -- they have the best prices around. The house wine is the perfect price and the pizzas and pastas are several dollars cheaper than other Destin restaurants.

Oh and I should add that they are all so warm and friendly you just want to hug them and pinch their cute Italian cheeks! The location is kind of neat, too because the harbor is right behind the parking lot. So after a great dinner of risotto del pescatore and a bottle of Chianti you can walk along the boardwalk and admire the boats and funny pelicans hoping for scraps.
