Get Outside This Spring Season
How perfect is our weather? Aside from some recent storms, it feels amazing outside and there’s no reason to be stuck indoors. Of course, Destin has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country so it’s likely we’ll be planted in the sand most weekends. But when you’re looking to change it up, there’s a great variety of fun things to do along the Emerald Coast.
The Market Shops in Miramar Beach have a Spring Concert Series on Sundays. Local artists perform from 1:00-3:00pm each week for a free show at the Market Shops lawn. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy entertainment by talented artists from your own community.
The charming Seaside community in the 30A area offers much to do any day of the week. Riding a bike or taking a stroll around Central Square always makes our day. The famous neighborhoods and shops are adorable and you can’t help but be happy. On many nights throughout the year, they have outdoor movies and concerts to enjoy. Mark your schedule to grab a blanket and head to the Square to see Storks on April 14th and Muppets Most Wanted on April 21st at 7:30pm.
We can’t pass up a good beer or wine festival and one thing we love about the Gulf coast is there are awesome festivals all year! April 27th-30th is the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival in Miramar Beach. Guests will come from all over the country to enjoy over 800 wines, live entertainment, and the company of celebrity winemakers.
Enjoy the second annual ArtWeek in South Walton during May 12th- May 21st. Over 130 international exhibiting artists, live music, workshops, and children’s activities will take place including ArtsQuest in Grand Boulevard and Digital Graffiti in Alys Beach. You can admire or purchase unique works of art or even get some creative inspiration during some of our most popular events of the year.
These are just a few of the fun things lined up around town and there’s more to come all year. So turn off the TV, forget about the gym for once, take a break from work and get outside!
