The 24th Annual Festival of the Arts will take place October 26th and 27th. This yearly event features art exhibits of nearly 200 artists from 13 states. The festival will be set up at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin. This is a great opportunity to get inspiration, admire unique works of art, and even purchase some pieces for yourself. Jewelry, paintings, photography, sculptures, and more will be on display and available to take home.
The Shard Shop offers DIY art classes and fun activities each day for a one-of-a-kind experience. The shop specializes in ShardWorx Art that allows you to create your own masterpiece of glass pieces on canvas. Combine your choice of colored glass and mixed media materials that will then be covered with a clear coat of resin to take home. Teachers are on hand to walk you through the process. You can book a class with friends or even take home a ShardWorx art kit.
Rock Paper Scissors 30A is a fun studio for kids and adults to work on art projects. The Grayton Beach location offers classes and open studio hours to encourage artistic freedom. You can sign up the kids for a class and grab coffee nearby while they design their own work. You can also get friends together for a ladies’ night with snacks and drinks.
