Celebrate Mardi Gras in Destin, Florida

Waves are not the only thing we catch here in Destin. Through the months of February and March beads and moon pies will be tossed your way for a Mardi Gras celebration you won’t want to miss. Here’s a list of Mardi Gras events throughout Destin.

The celebration begins Saturday, February 12th, on Okaloosa Island! Your first shot at catching some beads is the Mardi Gras Parade on Santa Rosa Boulevard starting at 11:00am. A Mardi Gras Block Party hosted on Amberjack Drive from 12:00pm to 5:00pm will keep the party rolling with live music and a crawfish boil. Then shortly after, from 8:00pm till 12:00am, you’re invited to the Mardi Gras Ball at the Emerald Coast Conference Center. Enjoy delicious food and live entertainment. The festivities continue at HarborWalk Village with a Mardi Gras Parade! On Saturday, February 26th at 2:00pm, enjoy dazzling floats, colorful costumes, street performers, and float riders tossing handfuls of beads. Party like its’ Tuesday, Fat Tuesday that is, in The Village of Baytowne Wharf at The Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort! Join us on March 8th, at 5:00pm, for the 9th Annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade where you’ll see decorated floats, golf carts, and pick-up trucks parade down the streets with a barrage of beads and moon pies.
