Beach Ball Countdown Pier Park

Can you believe we are just a countdown away from 2013! New Year’s Eve celebration is an evening many plan and look forward to all year long. What once meant lipstick, heels, and plenty of hydration so I could party all night, has now turned into dog sitters, kid sitters, and a designated driver who can get my husband and I back before 10:00pm. Although it has crossed my mind, I don’t think I’m ready to spend New Year’s Eve in my robe with a glass of champagne, and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve.

That's why I've made my plans to party at Pier Park. They will host the 5th Annual Beach Ball Drop on December 31st in Panama City Beach. The celebration begins at 5:30pm with events that are family friendly. My kids will love the stilt walkers, mascots, and their own special Beach Ball Drop Countdown consisting of more than 10,000 inflatable beach balls all released onto Pier Park Drive's boardwalk.

The condo we rented is within walking distance and right on the beach. Perfect for tucking the kids in, thanking the baby sitter and heading back to the festivities! The headliner this year is Country music star, James Otto. The performance starts at 10:45pm followed by a midnight celebration of fireworks and the glowing 800-pound beach ball drop!
