5 Things to do on a Rainy Day in Destin
You know what they say: April showers bring May flowers. The next month could possibly decrease our beach days but there are lots of fun things to do around town on a rainy day. Here are some of our favorite things to do when we aren’t playing at the beach.
Escape Rooms are popular around the country and our Destin location offers 3 escape rooms to choose from. Escape Zone 60 lets you and your group solve a crime, deactivate a bomb, or try to make it out of the apocalypse. Get your friends and family and see how well you work together to escape these exciting scenarios.
Destin, Florida offers some above average movie theater experiences with AMC and Boulevard 10. AMC is located in the Destin Commons and features an IMAX and RealD 3D theater. In Grand Boulevard, Ovation Dining Club has high ceilings and reclining chairs with tables to enjoy dinner during your movie. Order beer and wine, appetizers, a main course, and finish with dessert – not your typical movie experience. Boulevard 10 also offers a Big-D auditorium with an edge-to-edge screen seating almost 500 people and dynamic sound.
Silver Sands Premium Outlet Mall is an outdoor shopping center but once you get to the mall from your car, there are covered sidewalks so you can stay dry going from store to store. This could take a while since there are 110 designer and name-brand outlet stores including Coach, GAP, Michael Kors, and Fossil. There are also great places for tasty treats mixed in for when you work up an appetite.
Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill takes bowling to another level. This tourist attraction, owned by Bass Pro Shops, features an underwater theme with aquatic décor. As of this month, the bowling alley also boasts a state-of-the-art arcade with 29 games. Order food from the Grill and bowl the day away under the sea.
Don’t let unfavorable weather ruin your Destin vacation. There are plenty of fun activities to fill your days. But the rain never lasts so you will be back on the beach in no time!
